Creaform HandySCAN SILVER — Technical data

The HandySCAN SILVER was the entry model of the relaunched SILVER series in 2024 and has since been replaced by the HandySCAN PRO. It uses 14 blue laser lines and, according to the brochure, reaches up to 0.040 mm accuracy and a volumetric accuracy of 0.020 mm + 0.100 mm/m. The 310 × 350 mm scanning area, recommended part size of 5 cm to 4 m and 0.94 kg weight match the BLACK units. Do not confuse it with the older 2021 SILVER series, which comprised the HandySCAN 307 and 700 with red laser crosses.

SILVER units were supplied with VXelements. When buying used, check the licence, ask the manufacturer about transfer to the new owner and whether a move to Creaform.OS is possible. A calibration report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3, the calibration plate, cables, power supply and targets should come with it. Because SILVER and SILVER Elite look identical and differ only in the extra line and accuracy, read the rating plate. As the model has already been superseded, ask about spare parts and CreaCare availability.
