Creaform HandySCAN MAX EVO Elite — Technical data

The HandySCAN MAX EVO Elite is the more accurate version of the MAX EVO for large workpieces. With the same 38 laser lines, the same rate of 2.25 million measurements per second and 1.28 kg weight, the manufacturer states 0.075 mm accuracy and a volumetric accuracy of 0.075 mm + 0.010 mm/m. Scanning area (up to 2.0 × 2.4 m), working distance (0.30 to 2.50 m) and recommended part size (1 to 15 m) are considerably larger. It adds an AR deviation colour map and QR code reading. Its predecessor was the HandySCAN MAX Elite.

As Elite and standard units look almost the same, compare rating plate and acceptance report when buying used; only a VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 report with Elite values proves the version. The Elite functions depend on the software licence, which the manufacturer has to reassign to the new owner. The package should include calibration plate, cables, power supply and a large stock of targets, plus scale bars for very long parts. Ask about remaining CreaCare cover and the date of the last recalibration, and check the laser windows for scratches.
