Creaform HandySCAN EVO Plus — Technical data

The HandySCAN EVO Plus is the middle model of the EVO series. With 30 blue laser lines plus an extra line it reaches 1.8 million measurements per second, and the manufacturer states an accuracy of 0.025 mm. What sets it apart from the base model is mainly the larger working distance of 200 to 750 mm with 550 mm depth of field, plus a 12-megapixel camera with AR function. With the optional Accu+ Kit, volumetric error drops from 0.020 mm + 0.040 mm/m to 0.020 mm + 0.015 mm/m.

Anyone buying a used EVO Plus should ask whether the Accu+ Kit and its scale bars are included, because the better volumetric figure only applies with it. Calibration plate, cables, power supply and a stock of targets also belong to the package. The manufacturer has to reassign the licence for Creaform.OS and any purchased modules to the buyer; get this confirmed before signing. A recent inspection report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3, the rating plate and the status of a CreaCare maintenance contract belong in every enquiry.
