Creaform HandySCAN BLACK+ Elite — Technical data

The HandySCAN BLACK+ Elite was the extended version of the BLACK Elite: 30 instead of 22 blue laser lines plus an extra line and a working distance of 200 to 750 mm instead of 450 mm, at the same weight of 0.94 kg. The manufacturer states 0.025 mm accuracy and a volumetric accuracy of 0.020 mm + 0.040 mm/m, or 0.020 mm + 0.015 mm/m with the Accu+ Kit. Acceptance testing followed VDI/VDE 2634 and ISO 10360. It no longer appears in the 2026 brochure; technically the EVO Plus is its closest match.

A used BLACK+ Elite suits anyone who wants the large distance range without a new EVO unit. Check whether the Accu+ Kit, calibration plate and targets are included and whether an inspection report to ISO 10360 is available. The manufacturer must reassign the licence for Creaform.OS and the Metrology Suite modules to the buyer; do not buy without that confirmation. As the model is being phased out, ask about remaining CreaCare cover and spare parts supply. Check the rating plate to make sure it really is the plus variant, since the housing matches the BLACK Elite.
