Creaform HandySCAN BLACK — Technical data

The HandySCAN BLACK was the entry model of the BLACK series in 2019 and was introduced together with the BLACK Elite. It projects 7 blue laser crosses, captures 800,000 measurements per second and, according to the brochure, reaches 0.035 mm accuracy with a volumetric accuracy of 0.020 mm + 0.060 mm/m. It shares the 310 × 350 mm scanning area, 300 mm stand-off, housing and 0.94 kg weight with the Elite model. It is no longer listed on the manufacturer's website; only the BLACK Elite remains current.

Used BLACK scanners usually run VXelements. Before buying, clarify which version is licensed, whether the manufacturer transfers the licence to the new owner and whether a move to Creaform.OS is offered. Calibration plate and the last calibration report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 belong with it, along with USB cable, power supply and targets. Since BLACK and BLACK Elite look identical, read the model from the rating plate or in the software. Check laser apertures, camera glass and cable connectors for wear and ask about service history or CreaCare.
