Creaform HandySCAN 700 — Technical data

The HandySCAN 700 was the upper model of the third HandySCAN generation and belonged to the then SILVER series in 2021. With 7 red laser crosses plus an extra line it captures 480,000 measurements per second over a 275 × 250 mm scanning area. According to the trade press it reaches up to 0.030 mm accuracy and a volumetric accuracy of 0.020 mm + 0.060 mm/m, with 0.050 mm resolution and 0.85 kg weight. Compared with the 307 it is therefore more accurate and finer-resolving. An Elite variant with blue laser followed in 2022.

Because the name 700 was used over several years, check year of manufacture and generation on the rating plate when buying used. The VXelements software is licence-bound; ask the manufacturer about transfer to the buyer and support in current software versions. Calibration plate, the last calibration report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3, cables, power supply and targets should be included. Check that the red laser diodes produce even lines and ask for a test scan on a known reference artefact. Enquire about maintenance options such as CreaCare for older units beforehand.
