Creaform HandySCAN 307 — Technical data

The HandySCAN 307 was the entry model of the third HandySCAN generation, offered alongside the BLACK series in 2019 and part of the then SILVER series from 2021. It still uses 7 red laser crosses, captures 480,000 measurements per second over a 275 × 250 mm scanning area and, according to the trade press, reaches up to 0.040 mm accuracy with a volumetric accuracy of 0.020 mm + 0.100 mm/m. It weighs 0.85 kg. An Elite variant with blue laser and up to 0.030 mm accuracy followed in 2022.

Used 307 units are mostly older devices running VXelements. Before buying, clarify which version is licensed, whether the manufacturer reassigns the licence to a new owner and whether current software still supports the unit. Calibration plate and a calibration report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 should be available; with old reports, plan a recalibration. Tell red and blue versions apart by the rating plate. With a red laser, shiny or dark surfaces need more preparation. Check cables, power supply and targets and ask about service options.
