Creaform HandyPROBE Next+ — Technical data

The HandyPROBE Next+ is a portable optical coordinate measuring machine: a wireless handheld probe whose position is tracked by the C-Track. It can probe bores, surfaces and datum features directly on the machine or in the fixture, without a rigid measuring arm. According to the manufacturer, accuracy is 0.030 mm, volumetric accuracy 0.075 mm in the 9.1 m³ volume and 0.100 mm in 16.6 m³; parts from 0.2 to 6 m are recommended. Acceptance testing follows ISO 10360. Together with a MetraSCAN it forms a combined scanning and probing system.

With a used HandyPROBE Next+, the probe alone is worth little; what matters is the C-Track supplied and calibrated with it. Styli, calibration artefacts, charger and batteries for the wireless probe as well as cables and stand for the tracker should be present. The acceptance report to ISO 10360-12 shows the last calibration status. The manufacturer must transfer the licence for Creaform.OS and the Inspection module of the Metrology Suite to the buyer.
