Creaform Go!SCAN SPARK — Technical data

The Go!SCAN SPARK is Creaform's handheld scanner that uses white structured light instead of a laser and captures colour and texture as well as geometry. 99 white light stripes deliver 1.5 million measurements per second over a 390 × 390 mm scanning area. According to the manufacturer, accuracy is up to 0.050 mm, volumetric accuracy 0.050 mm + 0.100 mm/m and 0.050 mm + 0.015 mm/m with MaxSHOT photogrammetry. It is designed for parts from 0.1 to 4 m and weighs 1.25 kg. Its predecessors were the Go!SCAN 20 and 50.

On a used Go!SCAN SPARK the light source is the main item to check: test projector and LED lighting for even brightness, and the colour camera too. The manufacturer has to transfer the Creaform software licence to the buyer; the licence record shows whether older units still run VXelements. Calibration plate, USB 3.0 cable, power supply and targets should be present. A calibration report to VDI/VDE 2634 proves accuracy. Use the rating plate to tell the SPARK from the older Go!SCAN models and ask about CreaCare.
