Creaform Go!SCAN 20 — Technical data

The Go!SCAN 20 belonged to the first Go!SCAN generation that Creaform introduced in 2014 and was intended for small, detailed parts from 5 to 50 cm. It works with white LED structured light, captures 550,000 measurements per second over a small 143 × 108 mm scanning area and, according to a trade portal, reaches up to 0.100 mm accuracy at 0.100 mm resolution. It records colour texture at 24 bits. It connects via USB 2.0 and ran VXelements software. Its successor is the Go!SCAN SPARK.

A used Go!SCAN 20 is a simple way into textured scanning of small objects, but technically considerably older. Before buying, clarify whether the VXelements licence is valid, whether the manufacturer transfers it to the buyer and which software version still supports the unit; the measuring PC needs a suitable USB port and drivers. Calibration plate, cables and targets belong with it. Check the LED projection for even brightness and the camera for dead pixels. Ask the manufacturer whether service or calibration is still offered for the older unit.
