Creaform C-Track — Technical data

The C-Track is Creaform's optical tracker, a stereo camera that follows the position and orientation of MetraSCAN scanners, HandyPROBE probes and robot-guided MetraSCAN-R units in real time. This allows device and part to move during measurement, and targets on the part are not needed. The camera bar measures 1,031 × 181 × 148 mm and weighs 5.7 kg. Depending on the connected system, measuring volumes of 9.1, 16.6 or 46.7 m³ and distances up to 4.2 or 6.0 m are specified. Several trackers can be linked for large volumes.

A used C-Track is mainly of interest as a replacement or addition for existing MetraSCAN or HandyPROBE systems. The generation matters: check with the manufacturer, using the rating plate, whether a given tracker works with your own scanner and current software. The tracker is calibrated together with the respective measuring device; an acceptance report to VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 or ISO 10360 for the combination should be available.
