Concept Laser Mlab cusing R — Technical data

The Mlab cusing R extends Concept Laser's compact Mlab platform to reactive materials: besides stainless steel, bronze, cobalt-chromium and precious metals, it also processes titanium and aluminium alloys. A 100 W fibre laser exposes build envelopes of 50 × 50, 70 × 70 or 90 × 90 mm at a height of 80 mm, with layer thicknesses of 15 to 50 µm. The system includes a separate handling station in which powder and parts are handled under protective gas. Typical users are dental labs, jewellery makers and research institutes. Colibrium Additive continues to offer the machine as the Mlab R within the Mlab family.

When buying, the handling station and the required build modules should be part of the scope of delivery. Laser hours, the condition of optics, filter and seals, and the nitrogen or argon supply are the main checkpoints. If titanium or aluminium has been processed, documented filter changes and proper handling of residual powder are essential. For dental use it also matters which material parameters, such as remanium star CL or rematitan CL, are unlocked and can be transferred to the buyer.
