Concept Laser Mlab cusing — Technical data
The Mlab cusing is Concept Laser's compact laser melting system for small, delicate metal parts, for example in dental technology, jewellery and precision engineering. A 100 W fibre laser with a focus of about 50 µm exposes build envelopes of 50 × 50, 70 × 70 or 90 × 90 mm at a height of 80 mm; layer thickness is 15 to 30 µm. The machine runs on a 230 V, 16 A supply and needs little powder. It processes non-reactive materials such as stainless steel, bronze and cobalt-chromium as well as gold, platinum and silver alloys. For titanium and aluminium there is the Mlab cusing R; Colibrium Additive no longer offers the base version.
With a used Mlab cusing, check which build modules are included, as each build envelope size needs its own components. Inspect laser hours, the condition of optics and recoater, the filter cartridge and the unlocked material parameters, especially for precious metals. Anyone planning to process titanium later needs the R version; a conversion is not documented. Clarify service and spare parts with Colibrium Additive or a dealer before buying.
