Concept Laser M2 cusing Multilaser — Technical data

The M2 cusing Multilaser is the twin-laser version of Concept Laser's M2 cusing. Two fibre lasers of 200 W each, optionally 400 W each, share the 250 × 250 mm build field with a build height of 280 mm and so raise the build rate, according to the data sheet to 2 to 35 cm³/h depending on material and laser power. A variable focus of 50 to 500 µm was available as an option to expose part cores faster. The machine was used mainly in tool and mould making and for small series of metal parts. It is discontinued; its successor is the M2 Series 5 from Colibrium Additive, also with two lasers.

When buying, first clarify the laser configuration: 2 × 200 W or 2 × 400 W, with or without variable focus. Next come the hours on both laser sources, calibration of the overlap zone, the condition of filter and recoater, and complete service records. The 400 V, 32 A connection is straightforward, but the machine weighs about 2.4 t. Reference clamping systems such as EROWA or System 3R make it easier to move between printing and milling and should be listed in the scope of delivery.
