Colibrium Additive M Line — Technical data

The M Line is Colibrium Additive's production system for larger metal parts in series. It separates laser processing in the Laser Processing Station (LPS) from powder and part handling in the Material Handling Station (MHS), so both can work in parallel. Four lasers of 400 W each, according to the product page alternatively 1 kW each, expose a 500 × 500 × 400 mm build envelope through 3D optics. Modules for powder, build and overflow move automatically inside the system. Concept Laser presented the concept in 2016 as the M LINE FACTORY, and production systems were delivered from 2019 under GE Additive.

A used M Line is rare and an infrastructure project: the LPS weighs up to 14 t and the MHS up to 7 t, and both need a foundation, crane and transport planning as well as an inert gas supply. Before buying, check the laser version and the hours on all four sources, the condition of the modules and transport system, the filters, and the licences for the CL WRX machine software and QM modules. A service contract and spare parts supply from Colibrium Additive are decisive for a machine of this class.
