CEAD Flexcube — Technical data
The Flexcube is a gantry system from CEAD, presented at Formnext in November 2024 as a more compact alternative to the Flexbot robot cell. Instead of a robot arm, a Cartesian gantry moves the S25 pellet extruder, which can also tilt by 45 degrees. This allows inclined walls and overhangs. The system is modular and, depending on length, is supplied with build volumes from about 3.5 to 11.5 m long at around 1.2 m height. It is controlled by a Siemens Sinumerik One; a milling spindle and tool changer are optional.
As the model is still young, used systems are rare and usually only a few years old. With any offer, record the length, number of modules and fitted options, since transport and installation depend on them. CEAD delivers the system pre-assembled in a container, and a ceiling height of 2.5 m is enough on site. Check screw and heating zones of the S25, the heated bed, the spindle if milling is fitted, and the dryer. Remaining warranty, software versions and a possible service contract with CEAD also belong in the negotiation.
