botspot OptaONE — Technical data
The OptaONE is a photogrammetry scanner from Berlin-based botspot, which the company showed in 2017, among other places at Hannover Messe. It consists of an aluminium frame with eight panels holding 64 photo sensors; their patented zoom-tilt technology adjusts field and angle to the size and position of the object. All cameras trigger at once, so a scan takes about a hundredth of a second. It captures people and objects from 8 cm up to about 2.2 m in size, with textures of up to 16K. The system does not use lasers or structured light. The model is no longer part of the current botspot range.
When buying a used OptaONE, first clarify the exact designation and equipment, as offers also mention a Plus version whose differences are not documented. All 64 camera modules must trigger and the zoom and tilt drives must run smoothly. Check the control computer, synchronisation, lighting and network cabling. Without working reconstruction software and its licence the system is hardly usable, so confirm licence transfer and support from botspot in writing beforehand. Installation and calibration at the new site require specialists.
