botspot botscan NEO — Technical data

The botscan NEO is the stationary full-body scanner from Berlin-based botspot and works by photogrammetry. A booth holds up to 160 or more synchronised cameras that capture a person simultaneously in a hundredth of a second, so movement hardly matters. According to the manufacturer the system reaches a measuring accuracy of up to 1 mm and a texture resolution of 0.06 mm per pixel; a comparison portal gives a capture volume of about 1 × 1 × 2 m. A laser projector, which botspot calls Digital Spray, places a pattern on glossy surfaces. Police authorities are among the first users of the generation presented in 2024.

A used botscan NEO is an installation made of many individual parts, so check the camera list with serial numbers, lenses, flash or lighting, projector and computer for completeness. Ask about the shutter counts of the cameras and about any defective units. The licences for the Automation Suite and any body measurement software are decisive: clarify transferability and a service contract with botspot. Plan for the manufacturer to handle dismantling, transport and recalibration at the new site, as well as a room with suitable floor area and lighting.
