BigRep ONE.5 — Technical data
The BigRep ONE.5 is the fifth generation of BigRep's open cubic-metre printer and was presented at formnext in November 2024. The frame and the 1,005 × 1,005 × 1,005 mm build volume come from its predecessors; new were two Power Extruder 2 units with diamond nozzles and, according to the manufacturer, up to 40 per cent more throughput, at most 200 g/h. In twin mode both heads print the same part simultaneously. The bed with magnetic SWITCHPLATE surfaces is levelled semi-automatically and heated to 80 °C, and the nozzles reach 280 °C according to the brochure. In April 2026 the ONE.5X followed with automated calibration and a new user interface.
Second-hand, the ONE.5 is a comparatively young machine. The serial number and year of manufacture show whether it really is this generation, as the ONE models look very similar from the outside. Check both PEX2 extruders including feed wheels and nozzles, the condition of the SWITCHPLATE surfaces, the belts and guides of the large gantry, and the inductive sensor. It also matters whether the Keep Dry Box is included. The open frame without an enclosure requires a draught-free room, a 16 A supply and space for around 635 kg.
