BigRep ONE.4 — Technical data

The BigRep ONE.4 is the fourth generation of the cubic-metre printer and was presented at Formnext 2021. The build volume stayed at 1,005 × 1,005 × 1,005 mm; new were a lighter and more precise gantry, the fibre-ready Power Extruder (PEX) with interchangeable hot end and nozzles from 0.6 to 2 mm, and a choice of single, dual and twin configurations. An enclosure was offered as an option for the first time. Target users were design studios, pattern makers, universities and development departments printing large parts in PLA, PETG or fibre-filled filaments. BigRep has since developed the series further with the ONE.5 and ONE.5X; the ONE.4 is no longer in the range.

For a used unit, first clarify the extruder setup: single, dual or twin and the nozzle sets supplied define what the machine can do. Fibre-filled filaments wear nozzles and feeders faster, so check the wear parts. Whether the optional enclosure is included affects both value and material choice. Print logs, a test print across the full bed and questions about firmware updates and spare parts for this generation are helpful.
