BigRep ONE.2 — Technical data

The BigRep ONE.2 is the second version of the large-format printer and was shown at EuroMold in Frankfurt in November 2014. With the volume still at around 1.3 m³, the launch figures give a build volume of 1,100 × 1,067 × 1,097 mm. A print head with two nozzles of 0.5 and 1.0 mm processes filament of 2.75 to 3 mm at up to 260 °C, and the bed heats to 100 °C. According to an auction listing, the machine weighs around 410 kg and runs on 230 V at 16 A. In August 2015 BigRep announced the third version, which was to print up to four times faster.

A ONE.2 is more than ten years old, so the mechanics matter most. Check the aluminium frame for warped profiles and loosened joints, the guides and belts of all three axes and the flatness of the large heated bed. Clarify whether the fitted print head is original, since later modules may require changes to electronics and firmware. Ask about the CE version with reduced build height and check spare parts with BigRep beforehand.
