BCN3D Sigma R19 — Technical data
The BCN3D Sigma is the desktop FFF printer with which the Barcelona manufacturer popularised the IDEX principle: two independently moving print heads that combine two materials or print two parts at once in duplication and mirror mode. The R19 version offers a 210 × 297 × 210 mm build volume, hot ends up to 290 °C with nozzles from 0.3 to 1.0 mm and a heated bed up to 100 °C; it uses 2.85 mm filament from PLA through ABS and nylon to TPU and PVA. Typical users were schools, universities, development departments and design offices. Older R16 and R17 units can be brought to R19 with a kit. The Sigma is discontinued; in 2020 the Sigma series was followed by the Sigma D25, which has since also been discontinued.
Used, the Sigma is inexpensive but often heavily used. The serial number identifies the version; for R16 and R17, ask whether the upgrade has been fitted. Hot ends, Bowden tubes, belts and the glass plate are wear parts. Spare parts are partly available via BCN3D support and resellers; check availability before buying.
