Bambu Lab X1 Carbon — Technical data
The X1 Carbon was Bambu Lab's flagship from 2022 until production ended in March 2026: a fast, enclosed printer for office and workshop with a connection for the AMS multi-material system. Inside a housing of steel frame, aluminium and glass, CoreXY kinematics with carbon rods move the print head at up to 500 mm/s over a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume. A hardened all-metal hot end rated to 300 °C, a bed reaching 110 °C, a micro lidar for calibration and a camera for failure detection are standard. The successor is the X2D.
Because the X1 Carbon often ran around the clock, print hours and maintenance history are the key questions. Hot end and nozzle, carbon rods, belts and the lidar window wear or get dirty; according to the manufacturer, spare parts remain available until March 2031. The seller must remove the unit from their Bambu account so that cloud printing and the app work for the new owner. Note the firmware version and ask for a test print with lidar calibration. An included AMS is not part of the printer and should be checked separately.
