Bambu Lab X1 — Technical data
The plain X1 was the base version of Bambu Lab's X1 series, launched via Kickstarter in 2022, and was offered alongside the X1 Carbon for a comparatively short time. Technically it shares the platform: CoreXY drive with two motors, three Z lead screws coupled by a belt, a bed heated to 110 °C, a micro lidar for first-layer inspection and flow calibration, a camera with AI analysis and a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume. According to the manufacturer's wiki, the X1 Carbon adds an auxiliary fan on the side; Bambu Lab ended production of the whole series in March 2026.
When buying an X1, establish exactly which equipment is fitted, as many units were later upgraded with X1 Carbon parts such as a hardened hot end. Such an upgrade is a prerequisite for abrasive filaments. The rating plate and the serial number in the Bambu account identify the model clearly. As with all Bambu devices, the seller must unbind the printer from their account. Check belt tension, lidar calibration, bed heating and camera analysis. Spare parts for the X1 series are promised until March 2031.
