AVAtec TE 30 N — Technical data
In mass finishing of additively manufactured parts, workpieces and abrasive media move together in a container, rounding off support remnants, smoothing layer lines and deburring edges. The TE 30 N from AVAtec of Sindelfingen works on the centrifugal disc principle: a rotating disc in the base drives parts and media in a ring-shaped flow against the stationary container wall; according to the manufacturer, processing times are shorter than in vibratory machines. The polyurethane container holds 30 litres with an inner diameter of 400 mm, and the gap can be set to 0.1 to 0.3 mm. It runs wet with a dosing pump, operates on 230 V and weighs around 170 kg.
On a used unit, the polyurethane lining of container and disc matters most, as wear widens the gap and lets fine parts or media get trapped. Measure the gap and check the drive under load for bearing noise. Waste water with abrasion and compound must be treated or disposed of, and the dosing pump and solenoid valve should be tested. The sieves of the manual separation should match the part size. Media is often worn; it matters which materials were processed. No noise hood is documented.
