ATLIX xBUILD 5000 — Technical data
The xBUILD 5000 is the large production system from ATLIX, the additive manufacturing business sold by TRUMPF in 2025. It was presented at formnext in November 2025 as the next generation of the TruPrint 5000 and has carried its new name since September 2026. It has little in common with the older TruPrint 5000: instead of a round cylinder 300 mm in diameter, it offers a square build field of 500 × 500 mm with a height of 400 mm, exposed by four 1 kW fibre lasers with an 80 to 200 µm focus. ATLIX quotes a theoretical 50 to 450 cc/h and preheating up to 200 °C.
A used xBUILD 5000 will hardly be available for the time being; the first production system went into operation in autumn 2026. For a demonstration or early unit, check the laser hours of all four sources, the alignment of the laser fields and the scope of the monitoring options. Clarify which material parameters are enabled and whether software and warranty are transferable. It needs a foundation for around 6.9 tonnes, 400 V at 63 A and nitrogen or argon.
