Artec Micro II — Technical data

The Artec Micro II is Artec's automated desktop scanner for small precision parts and has succeeded the Micro since November 2023. Four 13 MP cameras and RGB LED lighting capture parts up to 200 × 200 × 150 mm and 2 kg while the platform moves them automatically. Artec specifies accuracy of up to 5 µm with 2 µm repeatability, certified to ISO 12836, and a resolution of 40 µm. Compared with its predecessor, the capture volume is much larger. A third motion axis is available as an option. Users come from dental technology, precision engineering, electronics and quality assurance.

Because the Micro II is still current, it is worth comparing against the new price including warranty. With a used unit, clarify whether the optional third axis is included, whether there is a current accuracy certificate and whether the platform positions cleanly during a test scan. Operation requires a Windows PC with a strong Nvidia graphics card. According to Artec, Artec Studio licences do not transfer, and the device is only moved to the buyer after the seller confirms.
