Artec Jet — Technical data

The Artec Jet is a mobile LiDAR scanner for capturing entire sites, buildings, tunnels or mines, unveiled by Artec in April 2026. Instead of measuring from fixed stations, it continuously calculates its position using SLAM while being carried, flown on a drone or mounted on a vehicle. It reaches up to 300 m, covers 360° × 290° and captures up to 1.9 million points per second; mapping accuracy is ±10 to ±15 mm. The device weighs 1.57 kg, is protected to IP65 and can fly autonomously on drones. It complements the Ray II and the handheld scanners.

Used Jets are hardly to be expected at present. If one comes onto the market, clarify which mounts and accessories for drone, backpack or vehicle are included, since they determine the range of applications. Equally important are the number and condition of the batteries, damage from drops or crashes, and the Artec Twins software, whose licence is unlikely to be transferable given Artec's general policy. Re-registering the device works, as with all Artec scanners, through confirmation by the seller.
