Artec Eva Lite — Technical data

The Artec Eva Lite is the texture-less version of the Eva: same housing, same optics with a 0.4 to 1 m working distance and a field of view of up to 536 × 371 mm, but without colour capture and without HD Mode. It captures geometry only, with point accuracy of up to 0.1 mm and 0.5 mm resolution, and aligns individual frames purely by shape. It was aimed at users for whom dimensional accuracy matters more than colour, for example in reverse engineering. Artec no longer sells the Eva Lite and points to the Eva instead, but still supports existing units.

Since, according to resellers, the Eva Lite could be unlocked to a full Eva for the price difference, it is worth checking the Artec account when buying used: if the upgrade has already been done, the unit is worth more. According to Artec support, Artec Studio licences do not pass to the buyer, and moving the scanner to a new account requires the seller's confirmation. Shape-based tracking struggles with smooth, uniform surfaces; a test scan of your own part shows whether the Lite is sufficient.
