Artec Eva — Technical data
The Artec Eva is the handheld white-light scanner that made Artec 3D known in 2012, and it is still in the range today. It captures medium-sized objects such as car body parts, furniture, sculptures or people from 0.4 to 1 m away and records colour at the same time. The field of view reaches 536 × 371 mm, point accuracy is up to 0.1 mm, and in Artec Studio's HD Mode it resolves down to 0.2 mm. The Eva works without targets, connects to a computer via USB and weighs 0.9 kg. The cheaper version without texture capture was called Eva Lite.
With a used Eva, software is the key issue: according to Artec support, Artec Studio licences can neither be resold nor transferred, so the buyer has to budget for a licence of their own. The scanner itself is only moved to the buyer's account once the seller confirms the sale to Artec. A photo of the serial number label lets you check warranty and theft status in advance. Also inspect the housing and optical windows for cracks and clarify whether power supply, cables and battery are included.
