Arburg freeformer 300-3X — Technical data

The freeformer 300-3X was presented at formnext 2018 and extends the freeformer range with a part carrier almost 50 per cent larger and a third discharge unit. This allows hard-soft combinations with support material in a single part. The build volume measures 234 × 134 × 230 mm; granulate is melted at up to 350 °C and deposited as droplets through a 0.2 mm nozzle; the chamber heats to 120 °C as standard and optionally to 200 °C. A split door allows the hoppers to be refilled during the build, and interfaces support automation.

At 1,550 kg the 300-3X is a heavy system whose relocation requires a crane or forklift, a foundation check and a 400 V supply. The number and condition of discharge units are important, as two- and three-component machines differ considerably in value. Approved material data sets, custom parameters and dryers belong in the handover. Clarify from the data sheet or rating plate whether the 200 °C high-temperature option is fitted. As ARBURG ended the business area at the end of 2025, agree service, spare parts and software licences directly with ARBURG before buying.
