Arburg freeformer 200-3X — Technical data

The freeformer 200-3X is the smaller model of ARBURG's freeformer range, which works with the company's own ARBURG Plastic Freeforming process. Instead of filament it processes standard injection moulding granulate: a screw plasticises the material, a pulsed nozzle deposits tiny droplets, and the part carrier moves underneath in three axes. Two discharge units allow part plus support material or two plastics, for example hard and soft. The build volume measures up to 189 × 134 × 230 mm, and the chamber heats to 120 °C. ARBURG gave up this business area at the end of 2025.

A used freeformer is more a production system than a printer: 850 kg weight, a 400 V supply with type B RCD, compressed air and an environment of 15 to 25 °C are prerequisites. The discharge units with screw, piezo nozzle closure and heating zones are central; their condition, maintenance status and spare nozzles determine the value. It should be known which granulates were used and whether material dryers are included. ARBURG continues to supply spare parts and service after its exit; arrange a service appointment for takeover and commissioning in advance.
