AM Solutions S2 — Technical data

The S2 is AM Solutions' continuous-flow unit for series of polymer parts from SLS, MJF and similar powder bed processes. A whole print job is loaded as bulk material of up to 70 litres; the parts then run on a PU troughed belt past five nozzles, are freed from powder and, depending on the media, smoothed or peened. A sieve drum separates parts and media, while conveyor screws and extraction keep the circuit closed. The unit is designed for round-the-clock operation. Parts may be around 300 × 100 × 150 mm in size. It was shown in 2019 and as an ATEX-compliant version in 2021.

The S2 is a production unit of about 2,500 kg with a compressed air demand of 250 m³/h, and both must be available at the new site. Transport requires a forklift with long tines. Wear parts are the troughed belt, nozzles, screws and sieve drum; their condition and the operating hours indicate how hard it has been used. Check the year of manufacture, as only the version from 2021 onwards is described as ATEX compliant. Rösler supplies spare parts.
