AM Solutions S1 Basic — Technical data

The S1 Basic is the entry-level blasting unit from AM Solutions, the Rösler Group brand for post-processing printed parts. At its core it is a manual blast cabinet with one nozzle: the operator removes residual powder from SLS, MJF, HSS or SAF parts and smooths the surface with the same blasting media. Small parts up to 100 × 100 × 100 mm go into a rotating basket of up to seven litres, while parts up to 350 × 200 × 200 mm can be processed by hand. A media conditioning system separates the powder. The unit weighs 600 kg, runs from a 220 V socket and needs compressed air at 6 bar and up to 75 m³/h.

When buying used, the compressed air demand is often underestimated; the compressor must deliver the stated volume continuously. Check the nozzle, blast hose, gloves and viewing window, which wear from the media, as well as the condition and filter cartridges of the extraction. Residues of different polymer powders in the media point to poor maintenance, and changing the media before first use makes sense. Rösler continues to supply spare parts and blasting media.
