AM Solutions F1 — Technical data

The F1 conditions polymer powder for laser sintering machines and is the counterpart to the D1 unpacking station. Both were developed with EOS and shown as prototypes at Formnext 2024. In a closed loop, used powder is brought to a defined moisture level with distilled water so that it charges less electrostatically, then sieved through a 245 µm ultrasonic sieve and mixed with virgin powder. Dosing holds ±2 per cent and output is 40 kg per hour of PA 2200. With the DFS accessory it supplies one printer directly, with PMS up to four printers. The unit weighs about 793 kg.

When buying a used F1, the sieve matters most: check the mesh and ultrasonic exciter for cracks and function. The diaphragm pump, hoses and dosing equipment are wear parts. Clarify which containers and supply accessories are included, because without DFS or PMS only Polybox operation remains. When changing to another polymer, the entire circuit must be cleaned, otherwise powders mix. Conditioning requires distilled water, which should be available at the installation site.
