AM Solutions D1 — Technical data
The D1 is an automatic unpacking station for laser sintered parts from EOS machines of the P3 range and was developed together with EOS. It was shown as a prototype at Formnext 2024 and is now in series production. The swap frame of the P3 or P3 NEXT is inserted, and a vibration-assisted sequence then releases the parts from the powder cake. The powder stays in a closed loop and ends up in a Polybox of around 180 litres or an EOS Multibox. According to the manufacturer up to 95 per cent can be recovered, depending on part geometry. The station weighs about 1,250 kg and runs on 230 V.
As a young product the D1 has rarely appeared on the used market so far. The key point is that the buyer's swap frames and powder containers match; it is not designed for other printer families. Check the vibration drive, the seals of the closed system and the condition of the Polybox. Stored process parameters show which powders have been used; when changing material, the circuit must be cleaned thoroughly. The manufacturer explicitly intends it to be combined with the F1 powder station.
