Admatec 450-CH-400 — Technical data

The 450-CH-400 is Admatec's large combination furnace: debinding and sintering run one after the other in the same chamber, and the parts stay on their setter. The chamber measures 400 × 400 × 400 mm and the maximum temperature is 1,700 °C in air. Twelve Kanthal Super heating elements, three thyristor units and a Eurotherm EPC 3008 controller with ten programmes are fitted, with insulation of rigid ceramic fibre boards. Connected load is 30 kW including 3 kW for the preheater. The furnace takes larger batches and big single parts such as those from an Admaflex 300 or from series runs on several printers.

At 30 kW the site comes first: three-phase power with adequate fusing, exhaust for the decomposition gases during debinding and enough room for loading and unloading. The twelve heating rods are expensive wear parts; their condition and the date of the last replacement should be known. Fibre boards with cracks or discolouration suggest misuse. A firing log with the temperature curve from recent runs helps the assessment, as does knowing which materials were sintered last.
