Admatec 450-CD-400 — Technical data
The 450-CD-400 is a dedicated debinding furnace from Admatec. In it, the resin is slowly burnt out of printed ceramic green parts before they are sintered in a second furnace. The chamber measures 400 × 400 × 400 mm and reaches up to 1,200 °C in air. It is heated by Kanthal A1 wire, switched by solid-state relays and controlled by a Eurotherm EPC 3008 with ten programmes. Connected load is 16.5 kW on 400 V three-phase. With the same chamber size it forms a two-furnace line together with the 450-CS-400 sintering furnace, so debinding and sintering can run in parallel for different batches.
When buying used, check the wire heaters in the walls: sagging or discoloured coils and spalled embedding indicate overload. As debinding produces a lot of decomposition gas, the exhaust port, door seals and any soot deposits deserve close attention. The stored programmes with their slow ramps are also revealing, since they show which materials and wall thicknesses the furnace was set up for. Finished parts additionally require a separate sintering furnace.
