3D Systems Viper Pro — Technical data
The Viper Pro is a production SLA machine introduced by 3D Systems in 2005, with exchangeable resin modules (Resin Delivery Modules, RDM). Depending on the module, the build envelope ranges from 650 × 350 × 300 mm to 650 × 750 × 550 mm; the extra-large RDM 1500XL allows parts up to about 1.5 m long. With two modules, one is imaged while the other recoats; each can hold a different resin. The machine processes Accura resins. The iPro line followed from 2008, and 3D Systems offered conversion kits from Viper Pro to iPro 9000.
Without a resin module the machine weighs around 1.7 t and needs 220 V single-phase at 30 A or 50 A, plus a UPS of at least 5 kVA, air conditioning to 23 ± 3 °C and a door height of at least 226 cm. When buying, clarify which RDMs are included, how much resin they contain and whether the machine has already been converted to iPro. The condition of laser, scanner and recoater and whether 3DManage still runs on the control PC determine the value.
