3D Systems ProX 800 — Technical data

The ProX 800 is a large SLA system from 3D Systems for prototypes, master patterns and investment casting patterns in Accura resin. The build volume is 650 × 750 × 550 mm, and half-height or short Material Delivery Modules allow smaller resin quantities; parts may weigh up to 75 kg. As on the larger ProX 950, the laser works with two beam sizes, 125 µm for contours and 750 µm for areas. 3D Systems most recently offered the system in a sell-off as a proven legacy machine, and the product page has been removed.

Used, the ProX 800 is attractive if service and spare parts are secured – clarify this with the manufacturer or a service partner before buying, along with access to documentation in the support portal. Check laser hours, recoater, optics and the number of MDMs included and the age of their resin. Installation requires 200–240 V at 30 A, a room at 20–26 °C and a floor for about one tonne.
