3D Systems ProJet MJP 3600W Max — Technical data

The ProJet MJP 3600W Max is the large version of the 3600W wax MultiJet printer. Even in the fine UHD (20 µm) and XHD (16 µm) modes it uses almost the whole platform at 284 × 185 × 203 mm, nearly twice the width of the standard 3600W with 152 mm. In HD mode both offer 298 × 185 × 203 mm. It prints VisiJet M3 CAST or M3 Hi-Cast, supported with S400 wax, for burnout patterns in jewellery, dental and investment casting. It shares housing and power connection with its plastic sibling, the MJP 3600. The model is considered discontinued.

The Max pays off for foundries and jewellery makers who run full platforms at high resolution, such as many delicate ring patterns in one job. Confirm that it really is a Max via the rating plate or printer software, since the housings are the same. Print head condition, print hours, material heating and the availability of M3 CAST and Hi-Cast matter most. A burnout test with patterns printed on the machine shows whether wax and surfaces are right. Transformer and service history belong with it.
