3D Systems ProJet MJP 3600 Dental — Technical data

The ProJet MJP 3600 Dental is the lab version of the MJP 3600 with three purpose-developed dental materials. VisiJet M3 Dentcast is used for burn-out and press wax-ups, PearlStone for stone-like working models and Stoneplast for drill guides and thermoforming models; according to the manufacturer the materials passed USP Class VI tests. Build volume is 298 × 185 × 203 mm, with 29 or 32 µm layers. The printer accepts STL data from any open intraoral, model or impression scanner and is designed for continuous lab operation. 3D Systems still lists the page, but the model is considered discontinued.

For dental labs taking over a used 3600 Dental, materials are the key question: are Dentcast, PearlStone and Stoneplast still available, and on what terms? Also check print head hours, test prints in UHD mode, a working finisher and the service status.
