3D Systems ProJet Finisher XL — Technical data

The ProJet Finisher XL is the large version of the 3D Systems wax oven for MultiJet parts. Its 760 × 460 × 560 mm chamber takes the large build plates of printers such as the ProJet MJP 5600, for which 3D Systems lists it as an accessory. The heater delivers 2.4 kW, the control range is 35 to 204 °C with ±0.5 °C stability as on the small model, and it can be loaded with up to 182 kg. Without load the oven reaches 150 °C in about 15 minutes. At 920 × 650 × 920 mm external size and 112 kg it needs a fixed place in post-processing.

Unlike the small Finisher, the XL is hardwired: at 240 V with 10.8 A, at 120 V with 21.6 A, each with cable of 10 AWG or larger. At 208 V the heating power drops by a quarter. With a used unit, check controller, thermocouple, heater, fan motor and door seals, and verify the version on the rating plate. The manual lists spare parts such as heating element, seals and fuses with part numbers.
