3D Systems ProJet 3510 SD — Technical data

The ProJet 3510 SD is the entry model of the ProJet 3500 plastic MultiJet range that preceded the later MJP 3600. It prints only in HD mode with 32 µm layers and 375 × 375 × 790 dpi, but on the full 298 × 185 × 203 mm build volume. Six rigid VisiJet M3 plastics from M3-X to Techplast are available; castable M3 Procast is reserved for the higher models. The five-year print head warranty was also only optional on the SD. Housing, weight and power connection match the sibling models. The range is discontinued.

The SD suits design offices that need visual and functional models and can do without the finest detail. Anyone needing Procast casting patterns or finer resolution should look straight for an HD, HDPlus or HDMax. Print heads, heating and material feed usually have many years behind them, so a test print and service history are essential. Test the ProJet Accelerator control software on a current PC and check whether M3 material is still available.
