3D Systems ProJet 3510 HD — Technical data
The ProJet 3510 HD is the middle version of the ProJet 3500 plastic MultiJet range. On top of HD mode at 32 µm on 298 × 185 × 203 mm, it adds UHD mode at 29 µm and 750 × 750 × 890 dpi, which however only uses a small 127 × 178 × 152 mm area. Compared with the SD, castable VisiJet M3 Procast and the five-year print head warranty are included; an XHD mode only comes with the HDPlus. It prints rigid VisiJet M3 plastics with S300 support wax, controlled via ProJet Accelerator. Its successor in the same housing is the MJP 3600; the range is discontinued.
The HD fits when individual small parts need fine printing and Procast casting patterns are needed occasionally. For larger detailed parts the small UHD area is the bottleneck – an HDPlus or HDMax makes more sense then. When buying, have the variant confirmed on the machine. At this age the print head warranty has long expired, so check head condition with a test print. Clarify material supply, spare parts and the transformer for 200–240 V.
