3D Systems FabPro 1000 for Dental — Technical data
The FabPro 1000 for Dental is the dental version of the compact FabPro 1000 DLP printer. Projector (405 nm, 65 µm pixels), 125 × 70 × 120 mm build volume and housing match the standard version, but it prints NextDent resins: Model 1.0 Oker plus Model 2.0 White and Peach for master and orthodontic models, biocompatible SG for surgical guides and Ortho Rigid for splints. Layers range from 50 to 100 µm depending on material, and surgical guides build at up to 23.5 mm per hour. The LC-3DPrint Box and LC-3DMixer are required. The printer is discontinued; support ran until July 2024.
Used, the printer is an option for practice and dental labs that want to print simple models in-house. For biocompatible parts such as surgical guides and splints, the whole validated process counts – resin batch, post-curing in the LC-3DPrint Box and documentation – which is hard to prove without manufacturer support. Check projector, resin tray and platform, and whether NextDent resins are still offered for this printer. As an alternative, 3D Systems points to the NextDent 5100.
