3D Systems DMP Factory 500 Powder Recycling Module (PRM) — Technical data

The Powder Recycling Module (PRM) is the powder station of the 3D Systems DMP Factory 500 solution. It automatically sieves the metal powder from the Removable Print Module and prepares the module for the next print job, so the powder stays in a closed, inert loop. Together with the Depowdering Module, transport module and parking module it forms the production cell in which the printer itself only exposes. The PRM measures 1935 × 2262 × 2521 mm, weighs around 2.7 t with an empty powder cartridge and is connected at 400 V three-phase.

When buying a used PRM, it must be clear which alloy it was last used for and whether it can be cleaned completely for a material change. Sieves, seals, oxygen and humidity sensors and the powder cartridges need checking. Without a matching DMP Factory 500 and RPMs the module cannot be used sensibly. Installation and operation with metal powder are subject to the rules on explosion protection and inert gas.
