3D Systems DMP Factory 500 Depowdering Module (DPM) — Technical data

The Depowdering Module (DPM) is part of the modular 3D Systems DMP Factory 500 solution for metal laser melting. It depowders parts on the build plate while they are still inside the Removable Print Module (RPM), which the transport module brings over from the printer. Because all modules operate under inert atmosphere, the powder stays under protective gas during depowdering, and the printer is quickly ready for the next job. The module measures 3000 × 2530 × 3300 mm, weighs around 5 t and needs 400 V three-phase with N and PE. It works together with the Powder Recycling Module.

A used DPM only makes sense together with a DMP Factory 500 and matching RPMs. Before buying, clarify floor load, hall height and transport route. Check tightness, inert gas routing, filters and approvals for the metal powder used, as switching between alloys requires extensive cleaning. An explosion protection document, risk assessment and maintenance records should be available.
