3D Systems DMP Factory 500 Build Changeover Station (BCS) — Technical data

The Build Changeover Station (BCS) is the simple entry into powder management for the 3D Systems DMP Factory 500. Instead of the fully automatic combination of Depowdering and Powder Recycling Modules, it offers a low-cost station where build jobs are changed and Removable Print Modules are prepared for the next job. It is intended for users running several printers with different materials and can later be upgraded to DPM and PRM. At 2700 × 1480 × 1650 mm and 500 kg it is much more compact than the automatic modules.

Used, the BCS is mainly of interest to DMP Factory 500 operators who want to expand their cell step by step. Check seals, docking points for the RPM, inerting and the cleaning state after the last material. Because the brochure gives no electrical ratings, ask the seller or manufacturer about power and gas requirements. Explosion protection and occupational safety when handling metal powder remain mandatory.
