3D Systems DMP Factory 350 Dual — Technical data

The DMP Factory 350 Dual combines the integrated powder handling of the Factory line with two 500 W fibre lasers. It is aimed at manufacturers who want higher volumes on the 350 platform and value automatic sieving and low powder exposure. As on all 350 models, build volume is 275 × 275 × 420 mm. 3D Systems lists applications including medical devices such as spinal cages, hip cups and patient-specific instruments, as well as aerospace, semiconductors and automotive. For dual-laser operation, titanium Gr5 and Gr23, aluminium alloys, 316L, cobalt-chrome and M789 are qualified.

When buying used, the hour meters of both lasers, the alignment of the laser fields and the condition of the powder system with sieve and seals are the main checks. For medical users, complete documentation of maintenance, calibration and parameters also matters because it forms part of process validation.
